一、履历介绍及主要研究成就
谢平,中科院水生所研究员,学院高原湖泊生态与治理研究院院长,于1989年获日本筑波大学生物学博士学位,同年回国师从淡水生态学家刘建康院士做博士后研究。先后主持国家杰出青年科学基金、重点基金和中科院战略先导B项目等,以第一或通讯作者在Science、PNAS、The Innovation、National Science Review、Research、Global Change Biology、Ecology、Journal of Ecology、Functional Ecology、Coordination Chemistry Reviews、Water Research、ES&T、Journal of Hazardous Materials、Environment International等SCI期刊上发表论文200余篇。截至2023年7月,SCI他引11000余次,H指数=58,CNKI他引9600余次。获水生态环境领域的国际奖—生态学琵琶湖奖(第九届),连续9年入选Elsevier Scopus生态环境或生物学领域中国高被引学者榜单。
谢平提出了控制蓝藻水华的非经典生物操纵理论,解决了水污染防治中的一个重大科技难题。非经典生物操纵已成为国内应用最广的蓝藻生物控制技术,许多地方政府通过人工补充鲢鳙来增加对蓝藻的自然控制力。2021年,东湖时隔36年再次爆发蓝藻,主湖区(12.8 km2)水华面积一度接近 87%。谢平基于非经典生物操纵理论,通过鱼类群落结构的调控,成功遏制了2022年蓝藻水华的发生,为武汉市节省了数千万元的应急除藻资金,为COP14在武汉东湖的顺利召开提供了水环境质量保障,谢平因此获得2023年度武汉最美科技工作者称号。
谢平在蓝藻的生态毒理学方面也做出了卓越的贡献。他率领团队首次从慢性染毒人群血液中检测出 微囊藻毒素(MC),发现世界卫生组织颁布的 每日允许摄取来(TDI)水平的慢性暴露诱导肝损伤,提出现行 TDI 值需向下修订的观点,被国际同行誉为“pioneer”、“milestone”式工作,被权威专著详细引述。
藻类对沉积物磷释放的正反馈效应长期被忽视。Smith(Science,1983)的 N/P比学说认为,蓝藻能固氮,在 N/P 低时有竞争优势,故可通过提高 N/P 来控制蓝藻。谢平等首次发现蓝藻水华对沉积物P的泵吸作用,提出N/P比学说仅适合贫-中营养水体,而在富营养水体中低 N/P往往不是蓝藻水华的原因而是结果的新观点,提出蓝藻水华的营养盐控制策略需同时降低氮磷而非两者的比值,被广泛关注。
Charlson等(Nature, 1987)提出了藻类通过释放抗温室效应气体二甲基硫醚(DMS)参与全球气候调节的 CLAW 假说,但 DMS 与叶绿素-a 之间的线性假定备受质疑。谢平等基于大范围的湖泊调查并整合全球海洋数据,结合实验验证发现,两者之间呈折线回归关系,因藻类光合作用驱动 pH 上升引起 DMS 降解加速,导致对变暖的负反馈调节减弱,从而解决了 CLAW 假说的长期争议,为精确描绘全球 DMS 分布格局和优化硫化物关联的全球气候变化模型提供了重要依据。
谢平于2003 年提出了“活化石”中华鲟的产卵场极有可能消失的观点,2013 年中华鲟首次停止自然产卵。谢平等的研究指出,鲟鱼增殖放流收效甚微,异地保护仅能维持很小的野生种群,通过过鱼设施的成功率< 2%,因此提出开辟大坝近自然旁通道是拯救鲟鱼有效办法的观点。
谢平等的研究发现,1954 年以来长江渔产量下降约 85%,其中生境破碎化贡献了近70%,是生物多样性的关键胁迫因子,结合对东亚特有鲤科鱼类与长江的共演化历史的解析,提出“江湖再连通”对长江鱼类保护极为关键,是“十年禁渔”国家战略重要补充的观点。
谢平是应邀参与世界卫生组织新版《水中有毒蓝藻,其公共卫生后果、监测和管理指南》(2021)技术审定的唯一中国专家。先后出版专著10部,曾任国务院学位委员会学科评议组成员,培养了100多名硕/博士,20多名已晋升教授。谢平的科研成果正在为河湖治理和生态安全保障提供了重要科技支撑。
